The Odinist Press Service is a news source for and about Odin’s Nation, those who consider themselves Odinist, Asatru, Heathen, or whatever other name is used to describe our religion. For too long the mass media has reported on our activities with little knowledge of who we are or what we believe, resulting in inaccurate reporting at best and a tone of animosity toward us at worst. OPS shall report on the happenings within the Odinic movement in addition to news of interest to Odinists, opinion pieces, articles, audio, video, and more. Currently we are in the beta stage so the format of the site will undoubtedly change over time. New sections will be added and old ones may be extended as the need arises. Keep checking in and more importantly, take an active role!

It should be noted that although Odinism is not a political movement, there is no doubt that we are all affected by the happenings in the political world. That being said we will report on relevant political news without injecting our opinions on said news. Opinions on politics will be kept in the opinion section (Columns & Articles).

The goal of OPS is to be a community driven news source. What this means is that the Odinic community is encouraged to contribute to the site. Do you have a review of a movie or a play? Have you visited a holy site and written a piece on it? Do you have an opinion on current affairs? Do you have a report on an event or have you seen something happening in our world that you think our community should know about? Do you have ideas on how to better this website and make it more dynamic? Perhaps you want to contribute to our audio/video section of a future podcast. You are encouraged to submit your news to us and take part in this endeavor. Whether you refer to yourself as an Odinist, Asatru, Heathen, or any other of the myriad of names we have given ourselves, your contribution is an integral part of this site.
