Lawyers for human rights group Liberty have sent the MP, Philip Hollobone, a letter warning him he is breaching anti-discrimination laws by insisting voters seeking his help must uncover their faces.
They told the Kettering MP that the Equality Act obliges him to avoid showing any discrimination.
The missive says the campaigning group “will be happy to represent any of your constituents that you refuse to meet because they are veiled”.
